Saturday 7th – Sunday 8th April, Cornwall Garden Society

Some weeks ago I had a surprise invitation land in my inbox, to see if I would be interested in selling my work at the 2018 Spring Flower Show at Boconnoc Estate in Cornwall. It didn’t take long to be impressed by the high standards of this event, and this year it truly looks to be another great one. Organised by the Cornwall Garden Society, the Spring Flowers Show certainly has gained a reputation for being one of the best in Europe, noted by the Times as ‘…the Chelsea Flower Show of the South West’. With some excellent Show Gardens lined up the degree of competition will be tense, with no shortage of inspiration and plants a plenty from the floral exhibitors to buy and take home.

Boconnoc Estate

Alongside the excitement of wandering around and absorbing all the botanical creations, there will will be insightful  Talks and a Gardners Questions’ held in the Garden Room. All set within the exquisite grounds of the Boconnoc Estate, which is a treat to visit in itself. Steeped with history and elegance the Estate provides a delightful backdrop to the Cornwall Garden Society Annual event.

Boconnoc’s story begins thousands of years ago. Since the days of the Domesday Book, people have inhabited this beautiful tract of Cornwall—and the estate itself is alive with centuries of history. The Fortescue family has personally had ties to Boconnoc since 1717. In 2000, they embarked on an ambitious renovation project to restore Boconnoc to its former glory whilst encompassing a brilliant new contemporary feel to the estate. After 12 years of dedicated refurbishment, Boconnoc now represents the heights of Cornish luxury, which in itself was an ambitious renovation project. With its Georgian architecture, picture-perfect countryside, and buzzing fairs, festivals, and busy events calendar, it captures all the enchantment and beauty of Cornwall.

Artisan Marquee

I myself have a small contribution to the show, selling my unique Botanical prints, cards and home-wear in the Artisan Marquee. My Botanical products are mostly sold via my online store, so this is a super opportunity to come and see some of the latest work from my collection for the Royal Horticultural Society. Alongside the regular range I have online I can’t wait to showcase some new exciting products and offers exclusive to this event.
