Some weeks ago I had a surprise invitation land in my inbox, to see if I would be interested in selling my work at the 2018 Spring Flower Show at Boconnoc Estate in Cornwall.

It has been quite sometime since my field trips have taken me to the Eden Project, in Cornwall. The most recent body of work I have been illustrating has taken me to explore medicinal plants.

I’m excited to announce another gorgeous partnership has been made with Marissa a local florist from Flowers with M. This is a unique opportunity to visit Marissa’s floral studio in Cornwall, and take part in an intimate Botanical Illustration Workshop.

We are now taking bookings on the upcoming Botanical Illustration Workshops at the Potager Gardens, in Constantine Cornwall.

Back in May this year I was invited to King Charles Primary School in Falmouth, Cornwall to deliver a workshop as part of their ‘Enrichment Week’.

For anyone not familiar with Open Studios, it is an event held across various counties, where Artist’s of many genres quite literally open up their homes and studios for the public to view.

The next Botanical Illustration workshop coming up is to be held at the Truro Arts Company, in Cornwall. This will be a Springtime orientated class, with seasonal flowers and foliage to study.

Botanical Art has long been a passion of mine and whilst I enjoy all the hours spent in my studio, it’s been an absolute delight to share with people that attend my events and workshops some of the skills I have learnt along the way.

I will take the class through a range of techniques, including basic drawing and observational skills, to the rendering and process I use when working on my Illustrations.

A divine collaboration of aristocracy, artists, musicians, bohemians and foodies at this rather fancy literary festival.
